Islamabad, October 23, 2023 (PAKONOMY): Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant surge on Monday, in line with the global trend. The precious yellow metal was valued at Rs209,600 per tola, marking an increase of Rs1,250.

Similarly, the 10-gram gold rate also experienced a notable uptick, reaching Rs179,698 after a rise of Rs1,072. These rates have been provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Just last Friday, gold rates had climbed by Rs2,200, settling at Rs208,500 per tola. The surge in gold prices in Pakistan mirrors the $9 increase observed in the international market, where gold was priced at $2,001 per ounce.

In contrast, silver rates remained steady at Rs2,550 per tola.
